Learn how to cook traditional Filipino Picadillo and fruit salad. Try out some Filipino dances and enjoy singing performances in Tagalog.
We'll be joined by Frenzy, owner of Food Trip in Matamata, who will kick off the evening with a Filipino cooking demonstration, showcasing the traditional dish, Picadillo, and a fruit salad dessert. She'll be sharing insights into Filipino cuisine and you'll get a chance to taste test her creations.
We'll then gather in the library for a fun and interactive session singing a Filipino version of "If You're Happy and You Know It" (Kung Ikaw ay Masaya). You will be encouraged to sing along and join in with the actions - fun for all ages.
You'll then learn a traditional Filipino dance, providing a glimpse into the rich cultural heritage of the Philippines. The evening will conclude with traditional Filipino song to put you all in a good mood!
