Matamata and Districts Heritage Month

Matamata and District Heritage Month is coming up in March 2027!

The Matamata Historical Society warmly invite you to participate in this Heritage Month and make it a Month to Remember. 

Their vision is to have lots of things happening throughout the month of March that the community can join in with all based around Heritage (This can be distant or more recent).   

Community Groups are encouraged to organise their own events, advertise and charge as appropriate, with Matamata Historical Society spearheading the month and including these events in their overall advertising.  

By working together, we can arrange a programme over the month that allows participants to get to as many events as they'd like! They are starting to get a range of ideas coming in and they have been very heartened by the enthusiastic response so far, but this is a case of The More the Merrier!
